First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Thank you!
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you like the site. As for your question…well, that’s a doozy. I have always been a “writer” of sorts, but only when my brain feels up to the task! As a result, I have typically done my best writing at odd hours (my novel was mostly written between 8pm and 2am). As for blogging, I sometimes find myself stumped when starting a post. I find that it helps to organize my pictures before I begin, and sort of get an idea of what I want to say. It helps me recreate how I felt when I made a certain dish, or tried a new food…I just do my best to bring the flavors alive on the page.
I hope this gives you a little bit of an idea as to my method, if you have any more questions or want to talk more, let me know!
